This cable is used for joining a VGA connector to a hardwired, commonly referred
to as a "pig tail," cable coming from the back of the monitor. An example where this is used, is a SUN
Microsystems monitor with a pigtail that terminates with a 13W3 male connector.

|
- 13W3 is a proprietary standard. If you're connecting a 13W3 cable to a SUN
monitor, be sure that the cable was built for the SUN cable pinout.
- If your monitor does not have a hardwired cable, commonly referred to as a "pigtail,"
attached to the back. i.e. the monitor has a 13W3 female connector directly attached
to the monitor, then you need a 13W3 male to HD15 male cable.
